Oh Sweet, Reader,
- What are the deepest longings of your heart?
- What “no’s” are within you, but you say “yes” anyway?
Think about the last time you did something just because it was easier for you to do than ask for help. Or pushed someone away when what you really needed was a hug. Or said “I’m fine” instead of telling the person asking how you really are.
What if all this has been quietly stacking up?
What if years
Of ignoring
Of pushing down
Of being polite
Of forgiving because it’s the “right thing” to do…
is actually building a thick covering of plaster over your golden heart?
What if being told…
“Get over it” OR
“If you’re going to cry, go to your room”
were really just ways of silencing the desires of your heart?
What if they were ways of making others feel comfortable, and in doing so, they silenced the
Rage
Sadness
Fear
Curiosity
Creativity
Playfulness
Longing for connection
your soul was trying to express?
This is your Sacred Rage.
Sacred Rage doesn’t represent the need for power or control over someone or something, instead it protects and leans into vulnerability.
It seeks to make things right when the way something is going is harmful to yourself, the world, or other living beings.
Anger has a place at the table and needs to be heard.
Embodied Rage teaches your body and soul to honor your truth.
🔥To not push anger off as sadness, fear, or some other emotion it might be signaling, but instead, to stand in your power.
🔥To courageously say “NO” or “f*** off” or “you can’t treat me like this” without doubting yourself.
🔥It teaches the body to mimic discomfort, expand capacity for it, and find new limits and boundaries as to what we will and will NOT tolerate.
🔥And to forgive – when the time is right. When you are ready. When the anger has had time to breathe and be embodied – then, yes, forgive.
Unless it means sacrificing your own truth.
We explore this and more at the Summer Fire: Kindling and Connecting with Your Sacred Rage Solstice Celebration of Rhythms Retreat.
June 20.
